'DWTS': Peta Murgatroyd, Vernon Davis Opens Up On Their Elimination
Peta Murgatroyd and Vernon Davis were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars season 29 this week. The dancing couple has been in the danger zone for three weeks constantly, which eventually led them to exit the show.
The professional dancer and the former NFL star was sent home after the Top 11 Night on the dance competition show. Although one of the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, tried to save Davis and Murgatroyd on the show, the other two judges, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, voted them out and chose another couple.
The dancing pair was in the bottom two, along with Britt Stewart and Johnny Weir, which made it difficult for Tonioli to make the decision. The 64-year-old choreographer and judge said that it is getting harder with every episode to let go of the contestants as all of them have great qualities when it comes to dancing.
In an interview with ET, the eliminated dancing couple opened up about their views on the entire episode. Davis and Murgatroyd said that life brings unexpected twists and turns in life. However, the 36-year-old former football player admitted that it was a great journey as he came across Murgatroyd through this show.
Davis explained that there are concerns regarding coronavirus but still being able to perform on the show and spend quality time with experts feels awesome. On the other hand, the 34-year-old dancer also shared that she and Davis love each other's company and they have a great time together.
"We had a nice bond that was formed and I truly hope that we can just carry that over into our lives now forever. It's been a pleasure getting to know him and getting to know his stories and his life," she added. The Faith, Hope, and Love star also revealed details on her neck injury, which she revealed last week following her absence after the performance.
She disclosed that ,she had rushed to the hospital due to a neck injury to get the necessary physical therapy. However, later she also tweeted to her fans and followers that she will be alright soon and thanked everyone for showing their concern towards her health.
She explained that during the scoring session, she sensed that something wasn't right about her neck as it started to stiffen up, because of which she immediately walked away from the stage. She further said that once she went to the skybox area to check on her neck, she realized that it was difficult for her to move her head.
