Prince Charles Seizes The Throne From Queen Elizabeth Rumor Debunked
Prince Charles has been rumored to have seized the throne for years.
Globe previously claimed that the heir to the throne snatched the crown from Queen Elizabeth and declared himself temporary regent since the monarch’s health is declining.
A source told the tabloid that Prince Charles wants to completely be in charge. And his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles couldn’t be happier that he’s seized the throne and she wants nothing more than for the changes to be permanent.
Prince Charles has, allegedly, been telling other people that he would only serve as prince regent while the queen is ill. But once she recovers, he would give her back the role.
However, Gossip Cop debunked the tabloid’s claims by saying that there’s no truth to them. If Prince Charles seized the throne from a sickly queen, this would’ve made front-page news. It’s unlikely for a tabloid to only be the one to report about it.
The rumor-debunking site also said that Prince Charles cannot just seize the throne from his mother anytime that he wants. After all, the only time that he could ascend the throne is if the queen dies or abdicates.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly also claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton were leapfrogging Prince Charles for the throne. However, the Order of Succession doesn’t work like this.
Prince Charles is the queen’s successor so he would become king after the queen dies or abdicates. And the only time that Prince William can ascend the throne is after Prince Charles dies or abdicates.
Woman’s Day also claimed that Princess Anne wanted to take over the important role of Prince Charles. But as we’ve already mentioned, this isn’t how the Order of Succession works.
Princess Anne cannot become the queen’s successor because Prince Charles is older than her. As such, Prince William and Prince Harry’s dad is the queen’s one and only successor.
And if something happens to him, the role will be given to Prince William since he is Prince Charles’ eldest son. The role won’t be given to Princess Anne even though she’s Prince Charles’ younger sister.
It is also important to note that when Prince Charles’ becomes king or if the queen dies, there will be reports from more credible sources other than these tabloids.
