Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are being slammed for their upcoming speaking engagement for Time100 Talks.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be talking about the dangers of social media. And they have been dubbed as experts on the matter. However, not everyone thinks that they’re a credible source on the topic.

PR expert Royal Tea took to Twitter to comment on TIME’s decision to tap Prince Harry and Markle to talk about the dangers of social media and lead an entire event.

The PR expert claimed that Prince Harry and Markle have done very little to establish real credibility outside their paid speaking engagements and conversations with actual experts.

One person replied to the expert’s tweet by saying that Prince Harry and Markle have nothing but notoriety from leaving The Firm. They also have their titles that they continue to use as their lifeline.

Another critic said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex don’t have enough expertise on how social media business operates for them to talk about it at an event. In fact, they might not have any clue on how to implement the changes that they would be talking about.

One critic also said that TIME should release Prince Harry and Markle’s credentials that relate to the dangers of social media to appease those that would attend the talk.

But another person said that right now, the most important thing is money. As such, Prince Harry and Markle may be accepting gigs left and right even though they’re not really abreast about the topic.

Meanwhile, some fans of Prince Harry and Markle also came to their defense. They said that the couple has been bullied on social media so they have first-hand experience of the dangers of using the various social media platforms.

Ahead of Prince Harry and Markle’s TIME100 Talks, the couple released their first portrait since quitting The Firm in January. The black and white snap taken by Matt Sayles is a recreation of the couple’s wedding portraits from three years ago.

But this time around, their adorable photo was taken from the comfort of their home in Santa Barbara.

In the snap, Prince Harry and Markle are grinning from ear to ear. Markle rests her arm on Prince Harry’s lap, while the Duke of Sussex’s hand is placed on the armrest of the chair.
