In a recently released footage, the Prince of Wales gave the viewers a peep into a framed photo where he was seen with Alexandra Knatchbull on her wedding day four years ago. He officially opened the Dragon’s Heart Hospital via this video message. 

 

In a special broadcast from his Birkhall home in Scotland, Charles opened a new COVID-19 hospital in Cardiff. The Prince of Wales expressed his gratitude to all those people who have been involved in building this special hospital that can treat a maximum of 2,000 coronavirus patients simultaneously. 

 

His audiences could catch a glimpse of a photo that features Alexandra Knatchbull and him from her wedding day four years ago. Knatchbull happens to be Lord Louis Mountbatten's great-granddaughter who was extremely close to Charles.

 

Many regard the heir to the throne as a father figure to Knatchbull. Charles had given Knatchbul away when Lord Norton Brabourne, her father became unwell. She is also the goddaughter of the late Princess of Wales and got married to her entrepreneur husband Thomas Hooper in 2016. 

 

Prince Charles is seen wearing a formal three-piece suit as he holds the hand of the gorgeous bride in the picture. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh also attended Knatchbul’s grand wedding ceremony.

 

Anne, Princess Royal was also present at the same wedding. She wore a stunning pink outfit along with a matching hat and made her way after her brother and parents, Daily Mail reports. The bride’s brother, her grandmother Countess Mountbatten and her two sisters were also seen enjoying the special day. 

 

Prince Charles also gave away Meghan Markle a couple of years later to his younger son Prince Harry. He did so because Markle’s father Thomas Markle Senior did not participate in the wedding ceremony. Harry and Markle got married on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel, Daily Express reports. 

 

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales praised the new hospital by referring to it as a “huge source of pride” in his video message. The heir to the throne had recently recovered from coronavirus after testing positive with the virus 

 

Charles mentioned that he is proud of the fact that the “amazing undertaking” was completed within such a short period. He also said that he is paying his tribute to “all those involved from so many different walks of life.”

 

Meanwhile, Prince Charles watches viral clips being uploaded by the Britons that help to keep up the morale of the country high amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Prince of Wales amused himself by watching funny videos while he was recovering from the deadly virus.
