Harry And Meghan Reveals Archie Harrison’s Newest Milestones In A Virtual Dialogue With Malala Yousafzai, Pandemic Gave Them ‘Great Family Time’
Harry and Meghan have been heavily working with several well-known people and companies in recent weeks. Today, a video from Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai was uploaded on her social media with the royal pair.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Malala tackled the topic of women's education and how the pandemic has greatly affected young women on their access to education.
Harry commented that he had taken his education for granted. He continued on to explain that as a young man, he did not understand how privileged he was to have access to so much information and knowledge.
Malala replied jokingly that it sometimes takes men longer to realize how important education is, but they get there in the end.
Meghan Markle also shared her privilege of having an education. She said that she was able to have access to so much information and was very thankful that she reached the university level in her education.
The Duchess pointed out that hundreds of millions of young girls have no opportunity to study and have no access to higher levels of education.
The Noble Prize laureate agreed with the Duchess. Malala has been a great source of inspiration to young women all around the world after she gained media attention for being shot by a Taliban in the face of fighting for young women’s right to education in Pakistan.
Now, the young and bright woman has recently graduated from Oxford University and has been continuing to fight for women around the globe.
During the interview as well, Malala asked the couple how their young son, Archie Harrison, has been in the midst of the pandemic.
Meghan and Harry were very touched by the question and answered that the unfortunate events had given them some ‘great family time.’
The ex-actress revealed that the pandemic has given them the opportunity to be present during Archie’s first step, walk and fall and that if it wasn’t for the circumstances, they would have missed a lot of his milestones.
Harry interjected, saying that they have been working very hard over the pandemic, and if there were no pandemic, they would have been working the majority of the time externally.
This would have led to them missing out on a lot of Archie’s little quirky milestones.
The dialogue between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Malala Yousafzai is available on all her social media platforms.
