Brad Pitt has been pushed into some hot waters after it was revealed that a woman from Texas is suing the actor for apparently duping her.

The lawsuit, which was filed earlier this year, comes after Kelli Christina, a healthcare CEO from Plano, Texas, filed a lawsuit against Brad Pitt after Pitt failed to attend to fundraising events.

Christina is asking for $100,000 in damages from Brad Pitt’s team, claiming that she was duped out of $40,000 in a two-year period.

The healthcare CEO also claims that during the time she was in contact with Pitt, they created a ‘personal relationship,’ talking about marriage.

In Los Angeles, Brad Pitt’s team was handed the lawsuit earlier in March and has vehemently denied Christina’s accusation.

According to the team, Pitt was never in contact with Kelli Christina from the start and unfortunately, the poor woman was catfished by some person pretending to be a Hollywood actor.

In Christina’s account, Brad Pitt got into contact with her for his ‘Make It Right’ foundation, soliciting money to help rebuild homes in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina.

Christina easily fell for the trap and started sending money to the pretend Brad Pitt over two years.

Christina has also paid the said Brad Pitt for appearances for events but has never shown up in any despite her paying the money.

According to Christina’s lawsuit file, the A-lister star had several excuses for why he could not make it to the fundraising events.

Only when Kelli Christina stopped sending the money that the alleged fake Brad Pitt cut off any contact with her.

Kelli Christina is demanding Brad Pitt’s team to own up to the scam and asking for $40,000 plus other damages.

“In 2018, Plaintiff Kelli Christina was approached by Brad Pitt for the purposes of raising funds for the Make It Right Foundation, a charitable cause to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina,” an excerpt taken from the lawsuit filed by the 50-year-old CEO.

Brad Pitt is currently dating German model Nicole Poturalski, 27, with whom he has an open relationship with. Kelli Christina’s claim that Brad and her had a personal relationship stays untrue.

The actor is back in Los Angeles after spending summer with Nicole in the South of France, in his Chateau, where he produces a $300 Rosé.

Brad is also in a legal battle with his ex-wife, actress Angelina Jolie, regarding their six kids' custody.
