Katherine Langford will be seen playing a coming-of-age role in the upcoming comedy movie, Spontaneous. The 24-year-old actress portrayed Mara Carlyle's character in this fun film released on Oct. 2.

In an interview with Leanne Aguilera, the actress revealed her kickass role as a heroine along with his chemistry with Charlie Plummer, who portrayed Dylan Hovemeyer's character that showcases exploding breaks out due to pandemic.

The film is directed by Brian Duffield that shows high school students' life as they try to survive life outside their comfort zone. The actress said that she had already read the script many years ago and it seemed to be satirical at that time.

"I just remember when I did read [the script] a couple of years ago, it's satirical…and [the character] hit home, I just really loved reading something like this, which felt like I was able to resonate [with] It's zany, it’s kind of satirical, again, and it has a very specific dialogue, but it just felt different and cool," she explained.

There many scenes of both the actors together in which they are covered in blood (fake) because of the explosions happening around them. However, the actress explained that having fake blood on their bodies seemed to be a regular day at work.

Langford joked about the fake blood and said that it felt like everything just blurs together after a couple of weeks. According to the actress, Mara and Dylan's characters will ensure that fans will fall in love with their relationship.

The actors said that their chemistry's entire credit goes to the chance they got to know each other before they began shooting besides having a strong script. Plummer said that he is really fortunate and lucky to meet Katherine before they started filming.

The 21-year-old said that they really took the first step into the filming process by discussing the characters and script, which turned out to be helpful during the shooting. Langford agreed with Plummer and said that he could say all his lines beautiful while it all felt real.

She praised Plummer's performance and said that fans would definitely fall in love with his character on-screen. The actress's career kick-started when she appeared on Netflix series 13 Reasons Why while fans also adored her performance in Love, Simon, as Leah that ran for four seasons.
