Ansel Elgort Strips For Charity
Celebrities, with their enormous social influence, have been doing all they can to help in the fight against the coronavirus. Actor Ansel Elgort has found a particularly titillating way to do it by posting a nude photo on his Instagram account.
Metro reports that the “The Fault In Our Stars” actor took to Instagram to post a nude photo of himself with only his hand covering his crotch. The 26-year-old teased in the caption that there would be an OnlyFans link in his Instagram bio.
As Page Six explains, OnlyFans is a website where users can subscribe to an account and receive explicit content from the account owner. But rather than a link to an OnlyFans account, Elgort’s Instagram bio had a link to the GoFundMe page for Brooklyn for Life!
As explained on the GoFundMe page, Brooklyn for Life! aims to provide the frontline fighters of several Brooklyn hospitals, such as Brookdale Hospital and Cumberland Health Center, with food freshly cooked by several locally owned Brooklyn restaurants.
Naturally, the 26-year-old’s naked stunt drew a lot of reactions from celebrities and ordinary people alike. Designer Jeremy Scott, for instance, called it “the best foil for a charity fundraiser ever.” Musician Diplo said he hated Elgort, while social media personality Nikita Dragun remarked that “we don’t deserve” Elgort. A fan of Elgort, on the other hand, just asked Elgort what he was doing.
While Elgort’s naked stunt had tongues wagging, several celebrities have also participated in less titillating fundraisers to help out people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Gwyneth Paltrow, for instance, has put up her “not Oscars material” dress up for auction. Elton John has been able to raise $8 million for the First Responders Children’s Foundation and Feeding America through his “Living Room Concert for America.”
No Kid Hungry, an organization working to feed the 22 million schoolchildren who now have no regular source of food due to school closures caused by the coronavirus pandemic, received a $1 million donation from Angelina Jolie.
COVID-19 infections continue to rise all over the world, so it looks like Elgort may need to find other titillating ways to draw attention to causes that he supports. According to the World Health Organization situation report for Apr. 21, there are now 2,397,216 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide. There are now 162,956 people around the world who have died from the disease.
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention update for Apr. 21 puts the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States at 776,093 people. COVID-19 has now caused the deaths of 41,758 people.
