Meghan Markle's sudden entrance into the world of British royalty was a big question to everyone, especially with the royal family members.

The American actress who was introduced to Prince Harry by a common friend was unknown to the royal until Prince Harry decidedly started dating the ‘Suits’ actress seriously.

In 2017, it was rumored that ‘playboy’ Prince Harry was dating an America, which gathered much interest from the British citizens.

Not long after, not even a year into dating, the two announced their engagement, which not only shocks the world but also baffled the royal firm.

According to a claim made by Rober Lacey, royal historian and biographer, the Queen had reservations on Prince Harry’s partner.

In ‘Battle of Brothers,’ Lacey reveals that Queen Elizabeth II found Meghan Markle ‘difficult’ and was a certain level of self-belief that made her dangerous in the Royal family.

But these uncertainties from the Queen was the reason why Prince Harry fell in love with Meghan Markle in the first place.

Meghan Markle had similar anti-royal attitudes to that of the late Princess Diana, Harry’s mother, and many royal experts have spoken that the life of Princess Diana parallels that of Meghan's.

The similarity with the two is what Prince Harry found most attractive.

Other claims made by the book was that Meghan Markle was the reason why the already drifting brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry, finally destroyed their relationship.

Prince William was said to have reservations regarding Meghan Markle and urged his brother to not be in a hurry marrying the actress.

This was not taken lightly by Prince Harry, who was offended by his brother’s suggestion. Added to the fact that Prince William recruited their uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, to intervene with Harry and Meghan Markle.

Lacey also included Queen Elizabeth’s plan to help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle adjust to the royal life. The Queen, who knew of the plans of Harry and Meghan to exit the royal firm made a contingency plan for the pair.

It was exposed that Queen Elizabeth was to give Harry and Meghan a duty, which will see to them living in Africa for a year or two as Africa is a very special place for the couple.

There are also accusations that the Palace was not against the exit of Harry and Meghan as Harry was branded as a ‘spare heir’ and Meghan as the ‘spare heir’s wife.’
