Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith adopt an unconventional parenting technique to raise independent children, without restricting Willow and Jaden Smith from doing what they want. So, it is quite shocking that Hollywood's famous couple's daughter asks for her parents' permission before bringing a partner to their home for them to meet.

Will and Jada have a reputation for being extremely supportive parents, so it comes as a shock to many that Willow still worries about what her dad and mom would think of her potential girlfriend or boyfriend. During a Red Table Talk featuring E.J. and Cookie Johnson, the teenager opened up to the extent that she brought Jada to tears.

E.J., the middle child of Magic Johnson, rose to popularity after appearing on four seasons of the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills series. Aside from that, he made an appearance in the E! cable network's hit reality TV series EJNYC, which was also one of the first reality shows on television to feature a young LGBTQ individual of color.

E.J. reveals that he prefers assessing his partner before bringing them home to his parents, and Willow agreed with the idea. She went on to say that where her parents are, it becomes a sacred place for her, before asking E.J. if he ever felt that a person might not be able to justify the importance of that particular space.

He responds, saying that is exactly what he meant, adding that is probably why he has not brought anyone home to meet his parents until now. A teary-eyed Jada admits that is a lot to carry for her teenage daughter, as she struggles to believe that the two teenagers worry about bringing a wrong person to their home, despite having such supportive parents.

Jada tells E.J.’s mother, Cookie, that they probably did something right that their children still care about what their parents think and seek their approval. Willow Smith has admitted that she doesn't believe in monogamy since she is interested in a throuple that alludes to three people being in a relationship and both Will and Jada support her.

Her parents know that she is interested in both women as well as men. Will and Jada are both extremely proud of their kids and want them to live the way they want to live their lives, a source close to the Smiths told HollywoodLife.

The source revealed that Will and Jada were aware that their daughter felt this way about being in relationships, but are proud that she decided to share her views with the world. They feel it is important for everyone to hear these things so that people struggling with how they want to live their life can look up to their daughter as a role model.
