Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Stole $35 Million From The Royal Family Rumor Debunked
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were recently accused of stealing $35 million from the royal family.
According to Woman’s Day, the royal family’s purse has taken a massive hit. For one, the coronavirus pandemic has prevented tourists from visiting the tourist attractions owned by the royal family.
A source told the tabloid that the royal family could expect a loss of roughly around $35 million by 2021.
The insider then claimed that Markle was largely to blame for the royal family’s financial struggles. After all, Prince Charles had to spend a huge sum on the Duchess of Sussex to sustain her lavish lifestyle and outrageous demands.
They also claimed that Markle has been spending a fortune on her hair and wardrobe, while the royal family is already struggling internally.
And in true tabloid fashion, Woman’s Day put Kate Middleton on a pedestal was slamming Markle. They said that the Duchess of Cambridge is horrified to learn about the royal family’s struggles. As such, she has vowed to do everything she can to help.
However, Gossip Cop immediately debunked the tabloid’s claims by saying that it is true that the royal family lost a huge sum of money. However, their losses didn’t have anything to do with Prince Harry’s wife.
“The expenditures cited in this story, namely the Sussexes trip to South Africa, were officially royal duties. This is akin to insulting Markle for doing what the crown told her to do. While it is true that the royal family faces a financial shortfall, it is, as the tabloid even admits, thanks to the coronavirus,” they said.
The rumor-debunking site then concluded that the tabloid’s claims are completely false. They also questioned why Middleton would be in charge of fixing the royal family’s finances when this isn’t a part of her job.
This just goes to show that the tabloid would do anything to detract Markle and praise Middleton. After all, the same tabloid has been pushing the narrative that the sisters-in-law are at odds with each other.
But in the book Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said that this isn’t the case. Markle and Middleton never fought with each other. In fact, they got along just fine in the beginning.
The in-laws just didn’t become best friends because they don’t have much in common. However, this doesn’t mean that they hate each other.
