Amal Clooney Allegedly Embarrassed Over George Clooney Coming To Ex's Rescue
Are couple George and Amal Clooney headed for divorce?
This seems to be the speculation by Woman's Day Australia in its April 20 issue. Apparently, this stems from the allegations that the 'Oceans' Eleven' actor has been in constant communication with none other than his ex-girlfriend, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis. The two dated for a couple of years and although both moved on to marry other people, they are said to still be in contact.
Apparently, Elisabetta dragged George into her assault case and Amal is not happy with George. Although he may have good intentions in trying to help someone he was in a relationship before, Amal is not impressed with his display of chivalry.
Rumors allege that Amal does not only think that the case is cheap compared to what she handles (she is a high-profile lawyer that specializes in international and human rights, after all) but she does not like the idea that George is still close with someone he was involved with in the past. The question now is whether the couple can overcome this obstacle and still stay married.
The couple met through a mutual friend in 2013 and got married in September of the next year. They welcomed their twins, Alexander and Ella, in June 2017.
Rumors of conflict and divorce have always surrounded the two, what with being high-profile in their chosen careers. But despite the news that comes out in the media, it seems that the couple is still going strong. George has not been active for a while now, his last movie, 'Money Monster', was released in 2016. But he is set to release 'The Midnight Sky' sometime in the future. The movie, which he both directed and starred in, is now in post-production.
Meanwhile, Amal continues to do her best in her chosen field. She has recently lobbied for the Australian government to make laws that will allow them to not only ban human rights offenders from entering the country but to also seize their assets. Amal Clooney is the deputy chair of the High-Level of Legal Experts on Media Freedom.
The couple, who makes their home in the UK, has been recently granted permission to build an outhouse in the back garden of their home which is on the banks of the River Thames. They also join a list of Hollywood celebrities who have donated in order to help those who are fighting the coronavirus pandemic, as reported by Deadline.
