Gere and Roberts indeed enjoy an incredible bond for many years now. However, that does not mean they love each other. A source close to them confirmed that the report was made up, Gossip Cop reports. 

A tabloid divulged last summer that the duo would go on a reunion tour for Pretty Woman. A dubious source, reportedly, told the magazine that Gere and Roberts had different purposes for going on this so-called tour.

The insider added that the duo wanted to enjoy “cozy dinners” without threatening their respective marriages. It has already been said time and again that Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are just good friends. If a reunion is planned to celebrate a film as big as Pretty Woman, all major outlets would be discussing it. 

A report just a few months ago that Roberts and Gere were all set to do a candid interview together. The cover of this tabloid mentioned that the Unfaithful actor would open up about all his secret affairs. It was also expected that he would confess his feelings for Roberts in the same interview. 

However, the actual article only covered that the actor was speaking about his not so simple love life with his close friends. There is a brief mention of how the former co-stars, reportedly, “fell for each other” when they were shooting together for Pretty Woman. 

However, a representative of the Primal Fear actor said that no such interview was in the pipeline. 

There was another recent report whose headline seemed to insinuate that Roberts and Gere wanted a baby together. However, the report did not elaborate any details about the actress “wanting a baby” with her former co-star (Via New Idea).

The report mentioned that they share a strong bond over parenthood, but their spouses are uncomfortable about their alleged closeness. While many stars fall in love while shooting close, it was not the same as Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. They are great actors and close friends.
