Meghan Markle Shock: Duchess’ ‘Suits’ Co-Star Patrick J. Adams Hasn’t Spoken To Her In Years
Meghan Markle has, reportedly, not spoken to her Suits co-star, Patrick J. Adams in years.
During an interview with Radio Times, Adams admitted that he and Markle haven’t seen each other. And even though he knows he could call his TV wife any time, he doesn’t know what he’d say to her.
“We don't spend any time together, but that's not because of anything other than how completely enormous her life has become in so many ways. Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated. I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don't know what I would say,” he said.
Adams also revealed that he and Markle reached out to each other after the births of their respective babies. However, they haven’t gotten in touch since then.
“After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I’m a little scared. I think it’s pure fear. I guess I’m scared about the idea of breaking through whatever walls exist to have that conversation,” Adams said.
Adams and Markle played the role of a couple in Suits. And they starred in the hit series for multiple seasons. When Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot, Adams and his wife, Troian Bellisario attended the ceremony and reception thereafter.
During a previous interview, Bellisario revealed that she felt anxious during the wedding because she was already pregnant with her daughter. However, she hasn’t shared the news with the rest of the world.
Meanwhile, reports revealed that Markle and Adams raised eyebrows at the former’s wedding to Trevor Engelson in 2011. In the book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, royal author Andrew Morton said that the co-stars’ chemistry raised eyebrows among the wedding guests.
“Their off-screen chemistry was equally noticeable, almost uncomfortably so, according to guests at Meghan and Trevor’s wedding, which took place in Jamaica in 2011. The two actors clearly developed a bond of familiarity that is invariably the corollary of working up close and personal for so long and so intensely,” he wrote.
In 2017, Adams and Markle also made headlines after the actor shared a photo of his TV wife on his Instagram account. He was forced to delete the photo later on because of the backlash that he received.
While speaking with Esquire, he said that after he woke up the next morning, he realized that he lives in a world where he can’t post anything about the Duchess of Sussex.
