Prince Charles Personal Letters To Trusted Royal Servant Goes Up For Auction, One Of The Letter Contains Charles Confession On His Infidelity
A royal servant of the British royal family has kept a ridiculous amount of memorabilia throughout her life in the palace, from letters written to her by the royal members to trinkets from special events in the royal palace.
The life of Marjorie Dawson seems to be as spectacular as the life of the royal members. The royal servant was a personal maid to Princess Alexandra of Kent, Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin.
Ms. Dawson worked for the royal family for over 34 years, from 1954 to 1960. In the 34 years that royal maid Marjorie Dawson spent with the royal family, she has created some everlasting bond with Prince Charles, the late Princess Diana and many more members in the royal household.
Dawson has accompanied several royals, the likes Queen Elizabeth to many parts of the world and she has worked for several of the different palaces around England.
The royal maid has unfortunately passed but many of her memorabilia from her time with the British royal family has been kept by her.
These memorabilia’s have been put up for auction, and according to the people involved with the said event, the souvenirs of Dawson’s royal life will be worth as much as $15,000 each.
One of the most amazingly preserved memorabilia’s Ms. Dawson has kept all throughout these years were letters from Princess Alexandra and Prince Charles.
What is most interesting about these letters is the complacent confessions made by Prince Charles.
In one of the many letters the heir apparent has sent to Marjorie Dawson, one had a confession by Prince Charles on how happy he is that he is married to Camilla Parker-Bowles.
The future King of England also professed his love affair on one of the letters, saying that it was what he called living dangerously.
Marjorie also had personal invitation letters from the royals and holiday cards written to her from the Queen and Princess Alexandra.
The family of Ms. Dawson was utterly shocked at the collection the ex-royal maid kept with her. Upon fining the grandiose memorabilia the family immediately saw for it to be auctioned to well-off buyers to be preserved well.
Marjorie Dawson passed away at the age of 104 years old and Princess Alexandra who found out about the news sent a personal letter to the family apologizing that she cannot attend the funeral.
The auction for Marjorie Dawson’s royal memorabilia will go up on Oct. 13.
