Anne Heche is recently making headlines for several reasons. From joining Dancing With the Stars to opening up about the details of her romance with popular television host, Ellen DeGeneres.

The 51-year-old actress has been surprising the judges and the viewers with her story more than her dance moves. In fact, the evening was full of surprises when the host of the show, Tyra Banks also made an error while announcing the bottom two.

The 46-year-old host by mistake announced Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy to bottom two while it was supposed to be Heche and her partner Keo Motsepe. However, before she left the stage, the actress said her feelings for the DeGeneres.

While the actress opened up about her romance with the 62-year-old comedian and the difficult era they both faced being women who love to date another woman. Heche and DeGeneres dated each other for over three and a half years.

The actress said that it feels that things are repeating again as she told her story about the comedian. She felt that being voted out the same evening when she shared her story, seems related to decades-old experience.

"When I told my story last night ... it triggered something in me. It took me 20 years to tell my story, and to articulate it the way Dancing With the Stars allowed me to. So to be voted off the same night I told that story, I had a similar feeling to what it was that I experienced years ago," she explained.

She continued to explain that it doesn't make her feel good after sharing her story as she wanted others to receive the truth and accept it. Heche seemed emotional as she went on to disclose how close this story was to heart and she seeks respect after revealing it.

The Six Days Seven Nights star also confirmed that the comedian had no clue that she was going to reveal the relationship they shared back in 1997. Moreover, she admitted that she hasn’t spoken with DeGeneres in years.

However, the actress said that she is open to meet the comedian and her former love interest if given an opportunity. She also revealed that they were separated because their intent was not the same. She explained that everyone in life meets and then decides what they both want from life and it seems that the comedian and the actress had two different ways to go.
