Princess Diana's Traumatic Childhood Influence Prince Harry To Leave Royal Family
The life of Prince Harry and Prince William was not a fairytale life, despite the two being real-life princes, the history of their very own family was not really an amazing life.
Prince Harry stepping down from his royal duties last January, finalizing it by March only solidified the nature of Harry and William’s odd upbringing in the royal folds.
A royal biographer, Penny Junor was interviewed by Express last weekend wherein he shared the complicated reason why Prince Harry quickly exited the royal family once he got married.
According to Junor, Harry had no foundation of what a happy family was, seeing that he grew up in a broken home, and with a mother who was suffering from a mental health disorder.
Despite Princess Diana being one of the most doting royal mother, a protocol that the Princess of Wales made sure to breach, she also suffered from a very traumatic childhood.
Junor explained that Diana’s parents divorced when she was only six had an utterly devastating effect on the Princess that also led to her eventual divorce with Prince Charles.
Diana was a perfect match for Prince Charles, she was raised as an aristocrat and was very comfortable among the royals but they were blindsided about all of this, not taking into consideration the ugly familial past she had.
Prince Harry has no concept of what a happy family looks like, claimed by Penny Junor. Growing up with a mother whom he lost at only 13-years-old, it was easy for the Prince to be swept off by Meghan Markle.
Yet, Meghan Markle also comes from a broken family. Markle’s mother, Dorothy Ragland, raised the Duchess a single mom, having an in-and-out relationship with Markle’s father.
This similarity between Meghan and Diana could have been why Harry was easily swept off his feet when he met Meghan, an understanding or craving for creating a happy family of their own.
Junor believes that history is repeating itself, but luckily Harry was brave enough to exit the royal folds in a time where he has already made a solid relationship with Meghan Markle.
A bombshell revelation was made earlier this week that William was against Harry’s quick engagement with Meghan.
Junor defended the actions of Prince Harry’s older brother, citing that William was only looking out for Prince Harry seeing that the history of the marriage of their own parents Diana and Charles did not work out well.
