Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are, allegedly, planning to star in their own reality TV show.

According to New Idea, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can star in a so-called Keeping Up With the Sussexes, which is inspired by the hit reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Since KUWTK will be canceled after season 20, there are claims that Prince Harry and Markle would replace the program with their own reality TV show. However, theirs would, allegedly, air on Netflix.

But as exciting as a reality TV show on Markle and Prince Harry sounds like, royal commentator Phil Dampier said that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles won’t be thrilled.

“You can’t have royals taking part in reality shows. They certainly couldn’t complain about their privacy being invaded if they were to invite a camera crew to follow them around. They would become like a royal Kardashians or Osbournes and it will shock the queen and Prince Charles,” he said.

The royal commentator also said that Prince Harry and Markle would have to deal with The Firm if they participate in anything that could tarnish the reputation of the monarchy and the royal family.

And when this happens, the queen might be forced to strip Prince Harry and Markle of their royal titles.

“The queen might not strip them of their royal titles, but I think she should. It’s sad to see and they have lost all credibility,” he said.

However, it’s unclear why there are still speculations about Prince Harry and Markle starring in a reality TV show when Netflix already denied the rumors.

Last month, a spokesperson for Netflix said that there’s no truth to the claims. Prince Harry and Markle are not gearing up to have their lives followed by the cameras.

It is important to note that one of the reasons why Prince Harry and Markle decided to quit The Firm was because of their issues with their privacy. The Sussexes didn’t like how the photographers followed them everywhere especially after their son, Archie was born.

As such, starring in their own reality TV show and allowing their son to be featured in such a program would make them seem like hypocrites.

Prince Harry and Markle will produce shows for Netflix, not star in any of them.
