It is no secret that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are very close to their children, Jayden, and Willow Smith. When their son turned 21 years old, the MIB actor made a vlog post, capturing the events of his son’s life, while looking back on some hilarious moments.

The vlog comprised a clip that captured the time when Will and Jada told Jaden’s prom date’s father that their son probably shouldn't go to prom. The video created back in July 2019, when Jayden turned 21 years old, includes a myriad of flashbacks to when he was just born.

“I just felt like two artists would create a little artist,” Will says at the beginning of the video. The 52-year-old actor was right about that because Jayden has become a successful music artist and actor over the years. The video also featured Will's interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he opens up about Jaden’s prom experience.

A girl asked Jaden to go on her prom, Will said in the interview, adding that he got an emergency call. The girl's father told Will that his son told Mecca [Kalani] that he plans to wear a batman suit to her prom, noting that he needed a little help from them. Jada advised this father to tell his daughter to not take Jaden to her prom.

Apologizing to the girl's father, Jada asked him to tell his daughter to simply uninvite Jaden. "Jaden is not a prom date kind of kid," Will joked on the show. Although he didn't get to wear the Batman suit to his prom, DailyMail reported that Jaden wore the same suit to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding in 2015.

Responding to a question of why he chose to wear this attire, Jayden explained that he felt he needed to protect everyone at the wedding, and that called for proper gear. Jayden has an impressive shoe collection now, but back in 2015, it looks like he didn't put a lot of thought into his everyday wear.

Explaining how he chooses what he wears, Jayden said he starts with rolling over on the bed he built for himself and then looks at the ground. If there are clothes that he wore the previous day, and they aren't too dirty, he puts them on. Jayden's outfit didn't seem to put his prom date, Mecca Kalani off, though.

BuzzFeed reports that Kalani, Willow, and Jaden are good friends, so there is a possibility she wasn't surprised when Jaden pulled up in a bizarre outfit. It will be interesting to see what he pulls off in the future.
