George Clooney and Meghan Markle previously sparked rumors that they will be running for president in the upcoming elections.

According to Hollywood Life, a slew of A-listers like Julia Roberts and Amal Clooney are encouraging George to run for president. However, Gossip Cop immediately debunked the claims by saying that the actor has never expressed his desire to run for president.

In fact, the Ocean’s Eleven stars previously denied the claims by saying that he doesn’t have any desire to get into politics.

Woman’s Day also claimed that Markle could be running for president because it has always been her goal to rule an entire country.

“Meghan’s always had political desires, and there are whispers he's thinking of running as a Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election,” the source said.

If Markle would run for office, this means that she and George could go head to head in the elections. But to give Markle a higher chance at winning, the tabloid claimed that George would serve as the Duchess of Sussex’s advisor since he already denied that he’s running for office.

The tabloid also published their dubious story around the time that Markle and Prince Harry left the United Kingdom. And they made it seem as though the Sussexes left the country and the royal family so that Markle could pursue her plans to run for president.

However, this is unlikely to be the case. After all, Markle and Prince Harry quit The Firm due to entirely personal reasons. And none of their reasons had to do with Markle running for president.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop also compiled the names of celebrities that have been rumored to be running for president in the United States.

Heat previously claimed that Kim Kardashian will be running for president. But the tabloid was unable to say when she would run for office.

Life & Style also claimed that Oprah Winfrey will be running for president. And the tabloid even had the audacity to publish a photo of Winfrey with a misleading headline.

The tabloid made it seem as though Winfrey herself confirmed that she’s running for office when she didn’t. In fact, the popular host has said it time and again that she has no plans to get into politics.

Hollywood Life also claimed that Eminem will be running for president simply because he performed an Anti-Trump freestyle rap recently.
