Brad Pitt Had To Eat A Lot In ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ For This Particular Reason
Brad Pitt is a regular on various red carpet events and is an Academy Award-winning actor. The 56-year-old had to eat a lot while shooting for his 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven for this simple reason.
Pitt has an estimated net worth of $300 million from many of his blockbuster films. One of his most famous films has been Ocean’s Eleven.
This was a remake of the film with the same name in 1990. It had an amazing cast including famous names like Matt Damon, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, and many more.
Pitt was seen in the role of a con artist called Rusty Ryan who loved gambling. When he was not busy robbing, his character taught how to play poker to celebs.
It was until Danny Ocean, played by Clooney, who was also a con man, came and asked him to be part of a huge plan to steal three casinos in Las Vegas at once. As they required 11 people to complete this operation, the movie had this particular title.
It was clear that Rusty was a big foodie. There was a scene with a sucker in his mouth while he was seen enjoying nachos in another scene. It seems that the eating habits of this character came from the Troy actor himself, Rolling Stone reports.
Pitt was convinced that as their team was under tremendous pressure and stress to succeed in the robbery plan, he would not get much time to hog. So, he had to depend on fast food.
It did not matter what difficulty the team found themselves in, Rusty’s appetite never showed any sign of diminishing. He not only ate while doing surveillance in the hotel but also when he went to take Danny from jail. Thus, there was this simple reason for Brad Pitt’s character to eat constantly.
Ocean’s Eleven was a major blockbuster and its positive reception led to the creation of a sequel in 2004. The group came together once again for a trilogy in 2007 when Ocean’s Thirteen was released.
Rusty’s love for snacking was evident in each of these films. Now the actor has become famous for eating in films. The franchise was reconstructed with a new team. Anne Hathway, Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson, and Cate Blanchett were some of the top Hollywood actors who were seen in the 2018 installment, which was called Ocean’s 8.
However, Brad Pitt would not be seen in the character of Rusty in another movie of this franchise. He was answering to a question asked to him at the National Board of Review where he mentioned that he had wished to avoid being in Ocean’s 14, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports.
