In this slow and juiceless period for the entertainment industry, Dwayne Johnson is one of those few who are still able to make good headlines with their projects, activities, and announcements, etc.

As a matter of fact, The Rock has recently gathered the attention of media with a multitude of reasons –  for being tested positive for coronavirus, as the highest celebrity earner, and one-time for even ripping through his house gate.  Seemingly, the ‘electrifying’ one knows the knack of keeping his fans hooked – and this is exactly what his newest project which is in the works - promises.

The Rock’s latest project announcement was ‘Young Rock’ and now the wrestler-turned-actor has revealed the main cast for the series.  It may not be the biggest cast with fancy resumes but the talent is full to the brink.

So, here is a quick para on who is playing who in the projects that’s bound to be close to DJ’s heart.

Probably the most important character - for the role of 10-year-old Dwayne, DJ has tapped Adrian Groulx. And since it’s about the 'Young Rock', there will be more than just one actor to play The Rock.  Bradley Constant will be seen playing him aged around 15, and 'Marco Polo' star Uli Latukefu will essay the same between the ages of 18 to 20.

Moving on to the family, the role of Ata Johnson, Dwayne's influential mother, will be under the control of Stacey Leilua.  For the role of Rocky Johnson, DJ’s father who was with him at every step of his life, 'S.W.A.T.' and 'Harriet' alum Joseph Lee Anderson has been cast. Ana Tuisila as Lia Maivia, Dwayne's grandmother who was an unconventional woman for that time – a businessman, a family-raiser, and very close to her grandchild.

'Young Rock' is a comedy series that will circle around The Rock’s early years of life putting all the major and important bits of the megastars life for the fans to see, enjoy, and get motivated. The Rock has always been very close to his family – so much so that he even credits them for the success of his bright career.

The Rock will himself serve as the Executive Producer under the Seven Bucks Productions banner. The series will be rolled out someplace in the next year. The announcement that was broken over Instagram also officializes that the production is underway.

The Rock means no dearth for fans.
