There has been a buzz for some time now that Julia Roberts plans to shift to San Francisco. Roberts and her spouse Danny Moder had purchased a historic mansion in the city in February this year. Here is the complete story!

Moder and Roberts have purchased a beautiful mansion in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood by the bay. Yet, there have been several false reports surrounding the actress’s intention to leave LA and relocate to San Francisco. 

Reports have it that the My Best Friend’s Wedding star has shelled out around $8.3 million for renovating their Victorian home. Speculations are rife that it is a clear indication that Roberts and her family eventually plan to live there. 

However, when and why she will relocate has been grossly exaggerated by some of the publications. Some months ago, for example, an outlet contended that the Erin Brockovich star bought the mansion in San Francisco so that she could live away from her cinematographer husband. 

The premise of the magazine insisted her new investment simply confirmed speculations of their split. The outlet also noted that Roberts and Moder had been living separately for some time now. However, they did not want to make things complicated for their kids by splitting officially. 

An insider close to the couple insisted that the story was completely made up. There was another story where a tabloid contended that Roberts wanted her husband to move out of their place.

The publication insisted that the Pretty Woman actress was completely perplexed where her husband was concerned. The magazine noted that the couple was feuding over where they should eventually settle down.

While Danny Moder loves to be in Los Angeles, Julia Roberts’ preferences appear to be different. However, several months have passed since the report came out and they are still living together, Gossip Cop reports. 

Another false report, which was published in May this year, insisted that the actress was leaving Los Angeles because of her financial woes. The magazine noted that the couple has recently disposed of their properties in places like Malibu, New York, and Hawaii because of their monetary issues amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

It is correct that Roberts has sold several properties owned by her. However, such sales were neither recent nor because of the pandemic. Also, if Roberts has become financially unstable, she would hardly purchase another house and shell out millions of bucks on its renovation. 

The couple also has a huge ranch in New Mexico and three apartments in Manhattan, which further proves that rumors of their financial miseries are incorrect. (via HELLO! Magazine)
