'The Masked Singer': Mickey Rourke Shocks Viewers As He Exposed Himself
Mickey Rourke surprised judges, the host, and the viewers by revealing his identity on the show as he took off his mask. The 68-year-old actor exposed himself on the show as a contestant in The Masked Singer's fourth season.
While the reality TV show is popular for celebrities to face off while keeping their identities concealed, the Hollywood star revealed himself on the show which is currently held in the United States. The Harley Davidson And The Marlboro Man star kept his mask on for over two weeks and then decided to disclose his identity by getting out of the Gremlin costume.
The actor pulled off his mask followed by his perform, which automatically got him eliminated from the competition. Nick Cannon, who is hosting the show seemed absolutely shocked by the actor's revelation.
“We’ve lost control. This is a Masked Singer first– we didn’t get to vote, the other people didn’t get to come out,” the 39-year-old comedian said. Once the actor revealed his face, he distanced himself from the reality TV show and refused to release any statement to the media.
However, Rourke said that he "liked the show" and that's the reason he appeared on it. He further said that he was around the "neighborhood" where the show was filmed and he wanted to join in for some fun.
Although the actor admitted watching the first four episodes of the reality show after the creators asked him if he would like to appear on the show. While the actor was still under the mask, he performed on Stand By Me by Ben E King with a Cannon.
Before Rourke revealed himself on the show, the actor teased the first episode and called himself a truly romantic and quite charming person. The actor acknowledged that he had a checkered history as far as its personal and professional life is concerned.
He admitted being a little "combative" while he also called himself "fluffy". Following the disclosure, fans took social media to express their excitement to see the actor on the reality show. One of the fans questioned on Twitter if she witnessed Rourke unmasked himself on the show or it was a hallucination.
Another fan wrote about being curious why Rourke was trending and finally got an answer, The Masked Singer. However, one of the fans took a dig at the current situation and said that the actor's appearance didn't really make to "top 50 weirdest things" that happened in 2020.
