Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp are two of the biggest names in Hollywood and have been each other’s staunch supporters for some years now. 

Depp has always had flattering things to say about Angie, which proves his fondness and admiration for the Maleficent actress. The actors have never been in a relationship but the actor is at his poetic best while describing Jolie. 

For instance, the Pirates of the Caribbean star refers to Angie as a “walking poem.” He sounded ecstatic of his former co-star and even she has some of the nicest words for him. The duo was last seen together in the film titled The Tourist. 

Both these Hollywood A-listers crossed paths for the first time while shooting for the 2010 movie The Tourist. The film sees both of them playing each other’s love interest in Venice. The movie did not get good reviews but they struck a close bond while shooting together on set. 

However, many would say that the way the actor has described her is not entirely platonic. The actor had said while promoting the movie that meeting her was such a “breathless moment” for him in one of the interviews. 

He also indicated that he was completely besotted with Angie when he saw her for the first time. The duo had a ball while shooting as there was so much in common between the two of them. The actor even felt that they had great onscreen chemistry.

Johnny Depp had also gushed about Angelina Jolie, calling her a perfect beauty. The actor feels that at the time, she was a delightful mix of being funny, clever, quick, smart, and deep. The actor also revealed that the Salt actress has an excellent sense of humor. 

The actor also referred to her as an “enchantress” and opines that she is cultured, as well as, incredibly beautiful. Meanwhile, Jolie called the actor a great person and an extremely generous star. 

Even before the actors got formally introduced while working together, they had tremendous regard for one another as actors. Jolie adored him in the movie titled Edward Scissorhands. 

In the book titled Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography, there is a mention of how the film had motivated Jolie while she was growing up. This Tim Burton movie had Johnny Depp in the lead role.

The film narrates the tale of a person who has scissors instead of hands. As Angelina Jolie had been always obsessed with knives and sharp objects, it is of little surprise that she was so attracted to his character, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports.
