Donald Trump is badly in hot water with no hope of getting out of it soon. Even worse – the media, which is supposed to be a politician's best friend, is now almost entirely against him. Trump has never been bosom buddies with media, but it is only lately that media people are ganging up on him – and Trump has to figure out a way to get out of this as soon as possible because the wait for the big day is almost over.
It began with the New York Times’ latest report on Trump’s spending and income tax evasion which states that out of the last 20 years, Trump hasn’t paid his tax in 15 years and when he did it was only $750. The revelation was crazy enough to spark controversy and it happened in a big manner and Trump is facing the consequences. The President is under fire for getting involved in unethical practices.
An increasing number of publishing houses are rolling out reports backing up the revelations made by the New York Times.
As per The Article, Donald Trump has “forged” his image for so long to cut the tax payments. In addition to that, late-night show hosts including Jimmy Kimmel have slammed trump in the most humorous and understandable way. Trevor Noah, for example, posted a picture on Instagram of a refurbished Dell laptop stating that the refurbished laptop is what the government can buy with the tax that Trump pays.
The Guardian published a report that lays out the facts of Trump’s overall expenses and his taxes. According to the report, Trump spends a hefty on his gaieties and presents those in the books as office expenses. For example, Trump got his hair styled for a whopping $70,000 which was only for a simple TV appearance.
The Head of Office’s predecessors Barack Obama and George Bush would pay about $1,00,000 as tax to the government, and on the other hand, Trump manages to sneak out paying the worth of a laptop.
This is the high time of the game and all Trump has got in his hand is the sand that slipping out like a waterfall. The presidential debate scheduled to take place today is another challenge awaiting the POTUS for another drill.
The criticism mill is not predicted to stop churning over the President anytime soon. It will be watchable what he does in the much-awaited interaction and how he responds to it.
