Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Can Upset Queen With This Next Move: Expert
According to a few royal experts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may displease Queen Elizabeth II if they continue to use the SussexRoyal brand.
The Duke of Sussex and his wife have already stepped down as senior working Royal Family members. Harry and Markle chose to lead a more private life in the United States and stay far off from the spotlight in the United Kingdom.
The Megxit deal with Queen Elizabeth II has allegedly barred the couple to use the word “royal” from their social media accounts and branding exercise. Royal experts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed this matter on a podcast.
The duo warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex mentioning that they could upset the monarch in case they disregard the deal openly. Florito mentioned that she is amused that @SussexRoyal has about 11.3 million followers even now.
The expert added: “I don’t think anyone has dropped off.” She was referring to the huge number of their followers on their previous @SussexRoyal account. However, the couple has already said goodbye to their followers on this Instagram account.
Meanwhile, Bowie said that the couple might land up in trouble as far as the Queen is concerned if they use the same account for their future posts. Bowie feels that they could make the Queen angry if they continue using the same Instagram account. She added: “They would have to rebrand everything.”
Fiorito mentioned that Harry and Markle who are maintaining a low profile were possibly undergoing a complete rebrand. She added that because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are busy with launching all their projects, they could be “laying low for now.” Bowie feels it is justified for the Duke and his wife to be under the spotlight as Easter is an occasion to spend time with the family, Express reports.
Meanwhile, Harry thanked the volunteers and workers of NHS for their fight against the coronavirus in the United Kingdom. Prince William’s brother said that he feels proud of the way the public in Britain has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In one of his recent interviews, the Duke of Sussex said that he wishes to say “a huge thank you” to all people who are volunteering and NHS workers during this crisis. Harry mentioned that there are hundreds and thousands of volunteers all over the United Kingdom who are fighting this battle.
The first time Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave a hint that they were contemplating to quit their royal life was when the couple had gone on a tour to South Africa last year in September, Stuff.co.nz reports.
