'KUWTK' Fans Say Khloe Kardashian Was Trying To Cash In On The Family's Popularity Before Their Show Ends
The influential Kardashian-Jenner clan is all over social media, with the popular family members promoting a wide range of their business endeavors, from television series to clothing to beauty products. It is no secret that their initial fame and success came from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, a reality TV series that began airing on E! cable network in 2007.
The Kardashians took fans worldwide by shock when Kim Kardashian posted a message to her Instagram account, thanking fans for their love and support and informing them that KUWTK will be coming to an end in 2021 after its final season. While many were shocked, some saw this coming as the Kardashian-Jenner family kept dropping hints of their lack of interest in filming for the show.
One of the Kardashians that didn't shy away from expressing her aloofness towards the show was Khloe, who has a reputation for posting cryptic messages related to her, according to E! Online. While some of her followers deem these messages as inspirational posts, others claim they are too negative to be inspiring.
Most of Khloe's messages on social media are nothing short of a passive-aggressive attack on the recent person who annoyed her. She posts several strange messages in one day, including three in 2018. The first of the two contradictory posts include one that talks about how there aren't too many people she can stand to be around without wanting to strangle them and the next one claiming that she isn't judgmental and doesn't appreciate people who are.
The third and last message of that day reflected her feelings about most of the people in her life. The message is about asking God to grant her serenity to accept "stupid people" the way they are, and courage to maintain her self-control, and wisdom to realize that if she acts on it, she would probably end up in jail.
Khloe confessed that her posts tend to increase when she is having personal problems. Back in 2016, E! reported that the reality star doesn’t only post quotes when she is troubled, she also posts sayings that she likes but doesn't necessarily apply to her.
Aside from posting multiple cryptic messages depending on her latest mood, Khloe uses her social media accounts to promote her products as well. While marketing via social media isn't uncommon, fans do not like the way and the frequency that Khloe uses her channel to make money.
She recently appeared on The View, where she came under fire for shamelessly promoting her product. She discussed migraines with Whoopi Goldberg and then deviated the conversation to migraine medication that she uses. The medication she spoke about is manufactured by Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, for which she is a spokesperson.
Fans on Reddit accuse her of appearing on the show only to sell her products. Some fans even claim she increased her product promotion because she knew that KUWTK was coming to an end, and wanted to cash in on the family's popularity as much as she can in a bid to make more money.
Fans suggest Khloe realizes that the show has a positive impact on her sales, and they could be right. It remains to be seen how the Kardashian-Jenner clan’s other business ventures are affected once the popular series comes to an end.
