Busta Rhymes Opens Up About Almost No Live Audience On 'The Masked Singer'
Busta Rhymes revealed the costumed singer on The Masked Singer. Yes, the first elimination took place on season 4 following the unmasking of The Dragon. After the contestant's entertaining performance, the iconic rapper revealed his identity on the show.
The 48-year-old rapper opened up in an interview with Deidre Behar and revealed his motivation behind coming on board with the competitive singing series presented by Fox. While the rapper said that everybody is well-aware of him and he has high energy and vibes, it is always fun to participate in such reality shows.
Although it was fun for the viewers to watch the rapper's participation in the series. The rapper said that he wanted to bring enjoyment and energy for the audience watching from their television screens amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
The rapper also addressed the challenging times that everyone is going through in America and the demonstration of social justice over a couple of months. "Sometimes, in order to continue to fight these battles and challenges that we're facing... in the current time and place, we need moments to be able to refuel and recharge," the rapper explained.
The I Know What You Want star further said that people need to remember that everyone has to recharge themselves and in order to do that there needs to be some fun involved. He encouraged fans to loosen up a little to face the challenging situation.
The rapper admitted that he wanted to participate to ensure that he makes his contribution to recharge and refuel audiences. He wants to make everyone in quarantine have some laughs and moments of fun. It is interesting to watch The Masked Singer this season because of the audience.
As it appears full house through television screens, in reality, it is a bunch of composite reactions and computer generation shots of the audience. However, from the performers' point of view, the audience looks completely different.
During the performance, the singers are performing in front of a much smaller audience than one might see on screen. However, Rhymes addressed the audience's issue, who performed Mama Said Knock You Out on stage that is a cover song of LL Cool J.
The rapper said that there is a huge difference for the entertainer when they perform in front of almost empty chairs. Rhymes admitted that the energy and the chemistry between the live audience and the performer is unexplainable.
