While other members of the Dancing With the Stars show has three judges, it seems that the Jeannie Mai has one additional judge. The 41-year-old television host opened up about her mother watching the show and being outspoken about her performance.

After this week's performance, Mai revealed that her mother is quite serious about the dance competition and wants her daughter to give her best on the show. In fact, Mai jokingly said that her mother has warned her to deport back if she doesn't dance well on the show.

Well, the ultimatum seemed to be confirmed when Mai video called her mother, Olivia TuTram Mai following her dance on Sept. 22 through FaceTime to get her feedback. TuTram Mai seemed quite firm with her words on call and said that if Mai failed to impress the judges then she will have to head towards Vietnam.

Mai's mother further said that she would not like to see her daughter's face if she loses and as a result, she should ask Brandon Armstrong to make her perform better. However, Mai immediately pointed out that she is an American citizen while her mother is an immigrant.

Mai quickly said that she is just joking and she performed really well. The How Do I Look? star and Armstrong earned 18 out of 30 for performing Saint John's Roses as they did the Cha Cha, a Cuban dance. The scores were good enough for the dancing partners to sustain in the show for one more week.

Although Mai's mother said that she will believe the scores once she sees it herself on television. Before the video call, the television host thought that her mother would be extremely delighted to hear about the score as it is similar to the previous week.

"I am not saying that I didn’t have things to work on, but I felt like I deserved a better score. So, that means I have to tighten it up, because I am not going to give them a reason to give me anything but an improvement," Mai said.

Armstrong agreed with Mai and said that other contestants who get lenient scores from the judges because they are either older or maybe not professional dancers. He said that they have to take a "middle road" to find success. However, Mai said that fans are supporting them and it feels amazing because of them.
