Father of the Bride is coming back! Yes, one of the most loved comedy in the early 90s is all set to entertain fans. Netflix teased on Twitter that they are going to held a special event for the film series.

The series consists of two successful editions, Father of the Bride that released in 1991, and Father of the Bride Part II that released in 1994 while Netflix teased part three of the movie. The third installment is going to be a reunion of the actors that will be directed by Nancy Meyers.

The 70-year-old director has been working on the original two series as a co-writer. Netflix took Twitter to ask everyone what they are planning to do on Sept. 25 and then dropped the invitation to all the fans to join the premiere on Facebook and YouTube of Netflix.

Even before the invitation, Netflix first informed fans that "something is coming" their way and along with the caption they also upload a video. As the video starts there is a picture of George Banks portrayed by Steve Martin and Annie Banks MacKenzie played by Kimberly Williams-Paisley as wallpaper and it seemed to be George's computer.

In a moment, George receives a bunch of emails from his children Matty Banks and Annie Banks MacKenzie along with Brian MacKenzie, son-in-law played by George Newbern. George also receives a video call invitation for Sept. 25. Franck Eggelhoffer's character portrayed by Martin Short, who is an eccentric wedding coordinator also invites George.

While the fun video lasts for only 34 seconds, it delivered the message in the best-comprised way possible. At the end of the video, Netflix revealed that the stars are coming together in order to benefit World Central Kitchen that is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization helping people to get meals who are affected by natural disasters.

This is not the first time when the celebrities are joining hands to help the event. X-Men, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and The Princess Bride also held a reunion of cast members who did the table read on camera from their respective homes. However, Father of the Bride will be the first one held officially by the streaming platform.

The story of the comedy series revolves around a father who has a 22-year-old daughter willing to marry a man who she met a couple of months ago. Eventually, the father almost ruins the marriage in order to protect her daughter.
