Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are all set to collaborate on a new venture! Yes, this time the Hollywood actors are coming together to invest in Welsh Soccer Team. Both the actors seemed to be potential investors for the Wrexham A.F.C. Football club.

Wrexham Association Football Club has been playing as the fifth tier of the United Kingdom's soccer pyramid and recently disclosed that Reynolds and McElhenney are looking forward to investing in their sports team. As per the reports, the superstars are willing to invest up to $2.5 million collectively.

The Welsh club is a small northern association and their members held a special general meeting on Sept. 22 in order to confirm that they want to go ahead with the actors’ involvement in their team. The club has been fan-owned over the past nine years.

The official statement confirmed that out of 1,223 members, 97.5 percent of the members voted in support of welcoming the Dealpool star, and the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star as investors. The statement has been issued on the official website of Wrexham on Sept. 23.

"As a result, talks with the proposed bidders will now continue and we are in a position to confirm the two people interested in investing in Wrexham AFC. In due course, Mr. McElhenney and Mr. Reynolds will put forward their vision for Wrexham AFC and proposal for members to vote on at a second special general meeting," the statement revealed.

Reynolds took to Twitter to confirm the news as he quote tweeted an eight-year-old tweet, which jokingly said that the 43-year-old actor might "turn up" in Wrexham. The actor is well known for his witty humor on social media and he took the opportunity to find an old tweet to confirm the news.

Besides his work as a producer and actor, the Canadian-American actor has been a co-founder of the Aviation American Gin since 2006. However, a couple of months back the company was acquired for $600 million by Diageo, which is a British multi-national drinks company.

The company also brought a stake in Mint Mobile that is a mobile communications firm. On the movies front, Reynolds’ fans are looking forward to seeing him in Marvel Universe with other superheroes. Although the entry of the actor might get delayed further due to the ongoing pandemic.

Reynolds’ upcoming projects include The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard in 2021 and Free Guy is slated at the end of 2020 along with The Croods: A New Age.
