Cardi B And Sister Hennessy Hit With A Defamation Lawsuit After Posting Video Of Altercation Between 'MAGA' Supporters
Famous rapper, Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy was involved in an altercation earlier this month, which was posted on both of their Instagram accounts. The video, which displays Hennessy being harassed by beachgoers on Suffolk county.
The altercation between Hennessy, her girlfriend, Michelle Diaz, and three other folks started over a parking space on the beach.
Hennessy and Diaz parked their car, when two men, one was wearing a MAGA hat, asking them to leave the beach. Hennessy was quick to pull her phone out and start videotaping the altercation.
Later on, another woman was also filmed harassing the couple, asking them to leave the beach, claiming that they were blocking other people. Hennessy had a heated exchange of words with the woman, who then backed up slowly while chanting ‘Trump, Trump, Trump’ over and over again.
The video was posted on Hennessy’s Instagram story, which was later on reposted by her more famous sister, Cardi B on her Instagram. The altercation earned traction, leading to Hennessy releasing a statement regarding the happening.
Now, the three folks that harassed Hennessy and Diaz are filing a lawsuit against the couple and Cardi B, claiming that they have been defamed by the couple.
Cardi B, Hennessy and Diaz have been named as the defendant and according to the lawyers of the plaintiffs, they have been harassed and threatened after the video of the altercation was released.
Cardi B, who reposted the video on her Instagram, branded the plaintiffs as MAGA supporters and racists. She also went on to say that Hennessy and Diaz were specifically targeted by the Trump supporters because they were a ‘gay for/Hispanic couple’.
The rapper continued on saying that there are too many Trump supporters that are openly killing and shooting black men because their leader (Trump) makes them feel like they could do so.
The plaintiffs hit back with an accusation that the video shared by Hennessy to her 6.8 million Instagram followers was an edited version of what truly happened that day on the beach.
The exchange happened back on Sept. 6 in the Hamptons at Suffolk County, but the lawsuit was just filed this week by the plaintiffs.
Cardi B and Hennessy, including Diaz, has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Cardi B is also in another court battle, after the ‘WAP’ rapper filed for divorce from her rapper husband, Offset. She shared one daughter with the rapper and is filing for full custody.
