It was in 2012 when Kanye West and Kim Kardashian started dating each other; they did not hesitate to show their affection for each other. However, the reality TV star was hesitant to confirm her relationship with the rapper in the beginning. 

The duo often exchanged kisses and held hands in public. However, all aspects of their relationship were not meant for the cameras. Kardashian had even gone to the extent of admitting that she was not at ease to discuss their relationship in the beginning.

She cited her public lifestyle as the key reason for keeping her relationship with West a low-key one. The duo was acquainted with one another since the beginning of the 2000s. However, they fell in love only a few years later.  

The KKW Beauty mogul recollects that she met her future husband for the first time in 2002 or 2003. The 39-year-old recounted that the rapper was then recording a number with Brandy who was a common friend. 

She remembers going around with the hip hop star and shot for a video together. So, they met a few times. The mom-of-four opened up about this during the 10th anniversary special of their family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (via Elite Daily).

The SKIMS founder then revealed how she flew off to Paris her husband’s fashion show way back in 2012. It was here that she finally understood that her feelings for him were much more than that of a friend. 

She was feeling low after her breakup and West invited her to fly down to Paris to watch his fashion show. He later jested that the entire fashion show was organized to go on a date with her. 

Kardashian went to the French capital and stayed with him. She admitted that she was head over heels with him from then onwards. The reality TV icon asked herself why she did not fall in love with him sooner. 

While the duo started dating since their trip to Paris, they were tight-lipped about discussing their relationship publicly right away. Kim Kardashian was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in 2012 when she admitted that she did not open about her relationship with Kanye West in the beginning.
