Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson still reside at the Royal Lodge in Windsor even though they’ve been divorced for years.

According to New Idea, the only reason the Duke and Duchess of York’s relationship are still like this is that they still consider themselves to be a married couple.

“They’ve been through a lot of ups and downs in recent years. They’ve seen both their daughters happily married to wonderful men, and Andrew is still struggling against accusations that he slept with an underage girl procured by his pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein – despite this, Fergie has stood by him,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that there are speculations that the Duke and Duchess of York might get married again one day for love and to show that Fergie supports Prince Andrew. However, what they will have isn’t a traditional wedding.

But there are also claims that Prince Andrew and Fergie never really split, to begin with. They simply told the entire world that they did because of the controversies they were involved in decades ago.

“It’s been long suspected that they never really split but were in a sort of open marriage situation and when they kept getting publicly caught out, they agreed to make a show of splitting and divorcing to save embarrassment to the monarchy,” the source said.

Years ago, one of the couple’s most common issues, allegedly, had to do with their flirtatious natures. Prince Andrew is known for his good looks and a lot of women wanted to get to know. But according to the source, Fergie was quite a flirt herself.

“Fergie has always been a massive flirt, and Andrew a ladies’ man. It wouldn’t surprise me if despite being together, they had their own little flings with each other’s approval, even to this day,” the source said.

And just recently, the Duchess of York proved that she will always stand by Prince Andrew’s side no matter what. After he was accused of sexually abusing underage girls, Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, distanced herself from her son.

However, the same cannot be said about Ferguson. The mom of two stayed with Prince Andrew, and she even released a statement showing the public her support.

“Andrew is a real and true gentleman and is stoically steadfast to not only his duty but also his kindness and goodness of seeing the best in people,” she said

The source said that this is about as close as a confession of Ferguson’s lasting devotion to Prince Andrew.
