While Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might have finalized their divorce finally, they were one of the most high-profile couples in the world. Fans remember with great fondness the days when the exes would exchange the costliest gifts to each other. 

From their nomadic lifestyle to adopting kids, the former couple always made headlines no matter what they did. Pitt and Jolie were seen in a hot photoshoot not long after the Troy actor and Jennifer Aniston started their divorce proceedings. The shoot where Pitt and Angie posed as a couple was ample proof that they were already in a relationship. 

The lovebirds declared they were expecting their first baby together in January 2006. They had two more biological kids and adopted three more kids, thus sharing six kids.

However, the former couple was not in a haste to exchange their vows. It was only in 2014 when the duo got married in a private wedding ceremony where all their kids were present. However, the wedding did not last for long and the actress filed for a divorce just two years later. 

While their divorce has been a contentious one, there were days when Pitt showered Angie with some of the costliest presents possible. Perhaps, the most expensive gift he gave his then-ladylove was an extravagant engagement ring. Reports had it that the Fight Club actor customized the ring’s design with one of his jeweler pals for more than a year. 

After Angelina Jolie completed her work in the movie Unbroken, which was a passion project for her, Brad Pitt marked the occasion by presenting her an oil painting of Louis Zamperini, the film’s hero. The painting’s exact cost was not revealed but it was possibly a priceless present gifted to the actress as Jolie was quite close to the hero. 

Even Angie did not shirk while giving lavish gifts to her then-beau, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports. She gifted a diamond pendent to her longtime boyfriend, which had, reportedly, cost her in the six figures. She also gifted him a chopper along with flying seasons, for which she, reportedly, shelled more than $1.6 million. 

However, the most popular gift Angie ever gave to the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor was an ancient olive tree, which was 200-year-old. Reports had it that she bought this unusual gift for the Hollywood heartthrob in 2010, which cost her $18,500 then. 

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt planted the tree at their French estate where it possibly remained until they separated in 2016. It cannot be confirmed whether the actor got the tree as part of their divorce settlement or not. However, it seems unlikely that he got it as the tree was regarded as a symbol for peace, Brides.com reports.
