Chris Evans, Hillary Clinton, Mindy Kaling, More Celebs Sadden By Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Death
Many high profile people and celebrities took social media to mourn the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg such as Hillary Clinton, Mindy Kaling, Kerry Washington, and Chris Evans. Bader Ginsburg who served as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States passed away on Sept. 18.
The cause of her death was metastatic pancreatic cancer, which was confirmed by CBS News. The associate justice was 87-year-old and she has been nominated in 1993 by President Bill Clinton. Ginsburg was diagnosed with cancer in July after she was hospitalized.
However, doctors confirmed that she has to go through cancer treatment. Within a year of diagnosis, Ginsburg couldn’t survive and stars mourned. Evans took Twitter to post a picture of Ginsburg and added a blue emoji heart followed by a "One of one" caption.
On the other hand, actress Brie Larson praised the late judge who helps women to reach places where they are not invited yet. "Justice Ginsburg paved the way for so many women, including me. There will never be another like her," Clinton said similar thing as Larson.
The 30-year-old actress noted that wherever the decisions are taken, women belong to those places. While Jennifer Lopez tweeted that she is "heartbroken" with the sudden passing of Ginsburg. She praised the late judge for being a "true champion" when it comes to gender equality.
Lopez recalled the judge as a strong woman who every little girl around the globe looks up to. Canadian actor William Shatner also shared his condolences to Judge Ginsburg's family and said that it is really sad to learn that she has passed away.
Kaling wrote a well-constructed tweet and said that Ginsburg was a patriot and scholar that one would like to tell their children about in the future. She further said that Ginsburg was such a person that you want to become like her someday.
The Mindy Project star prayed for her to rest in peace as the late judge fought all her life to change the world for better. Washington wrote a short and strong message delivering that the late judge has earned her peace and now its "our turn to fight".
While Connie Britton wrote that she is grateful and devastated at the same time as her life has become much better as a woman due to her brilliance. Stephen King tweeted to ensure that a new "Kavanaugh" doesn't get her position and asked to vote "blue".
