Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt Came Together On Virtual 'Fast Times' Read
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt came together publicly! Yes, the former couple who have been separated long back are united again for a virtual table read. The superstars’ reunion took place for Dane Cook's Feelin’ ALive and they read Fast Times at Ridgemont High on Sept. 17.
Besides the two most talked about celebrities in Hollywood, other stars also joined the table read unrehearsed of the coming-of-age movie released in 1982. Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LaBeouf, Henry Golding, Morgan Freeman, Jimmy Kimmel, and more stars joined the table.
While there was original cast present during the tablet read including Penn, it came as a surprise to the fans that the iconic roles might keep getting switched between the actors. It was interesting to watch Aniston portraying Linda's character while Pitt portrayed Brad. It aligned both the actors to perform a spicy sequence on-screen.
Of course, the real-life background story of the actors made it extremely ironic, delightfully awkward, and sweet to watch the scene. The video streamed for over an hour that highlighted scenes that have been loved by the fans from the classic movie.
Moreover, the stream also helped the stars to raise funds for CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort). It is an organization built for the propose of humanitarian, Reform Alliance and Penn are the co-founder of the organization in order to battle against the ongoing pandemic.
The event had a "donate" button placed on the video and the stars urged to text CORE on 707070 to make the donation. The stream was introduced on Sept. 17 by Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles, and praised Pen's work to fight against the global crisis.
Earlier this year, the former couple has been seen together at the backstage of the SAG Awards. However, this was the first time Aniston and Pitt came together on-screen because of the Feelin' Alive event. January marked the ex-couple's first public appearance following their divorce that took place in 2005.
In an interview with ET, Cook revealed that the entire reunion of the ex-couple was unintentional. The 48-year-old comedian joked that he wished he could have planned everything. He disclosed that things just fall into place as the event happened.
"They're fascinating people, and also because of the level of talent and philanthropy, when you have fascinating figures like that, of course, you want to see them together," he concluded.
