There was a buzz last year that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were on the verge of splitting because the country crooner failed to make his appearances at some of the actress’s red carpet events. Here is the actual story!

Last year, a publication contended that Kidman and Urban’s marriage was on the verge of collapse. The publication insisted that the singer was intentionally absent from a red carpet event for Kidman’s film The Goldfinch. 

It seems he gave a miss to all those events as he wanted to be with his bandmates. The outlet added that although the country crooner was on tour before his wife’s event, he did not perform that night and could have been present at the event instead. 

An anonymous source told them that the Big Little Lies actress was furious with her husband for absconding from some of her recent events including the Toronto Film Festival and GQ Men of the Year Awards. It seems she had insisted Urban to make the effort to be there when the dates did not clash with the latter’s shows. 

The unnamed tipster further mentioned the Bombshell star nagged Urban with texts and calls. She, reportedly, flew into a rage when he did not respond to her. The source added that Urban felt suffocated with his wife’s behavior. 

When the story was probed, it was observed that the premise of the report was incorrect. In reality, Keith Urban could not attend some of Nicole Kidman’s events as he was touring. 

Urban was performing in Las Vegas while Kidman was busy with her film’s promotion. However, that did not mean the singer was trying to avoid his better half. It also does not signify that they had marital issues, Gossip Cop reports. 

The publication also contacted a representative of the country crooner who dismissed the story as false. The tabloid that published this incorrect story had earlier alleged that the actress was feeling very low after having issues with her husband. 

She was not well as she and her husband had been separated for weeks. However, this story was ridiculous as well because the couple was doing well. It has been 12 months since the report was published and they are still together. 

There was another false report on the singer abandoning his wife and their two kids. However, contrary to the speculative piece, the singer had to leave Australia as he was slated to perform at the iHeartMusic festival in Nashville. 

It was just a few weeks ago when the Eyes Wide Shut actress shared an adorable romantic picture with her husband to promote the latter’s new song. Nicole Kidman took to Instagram and posted a cute shot of herself and Keith Urban in honor of his latest song, Entertainment Tonight reports.
