Chadwick Boseman Laid To Rest In South Carolina Following His Death
Chadwick Boseman passed away one week ago and recently his body was laid to rest after six days. The late actor was 43-year-old when he died in his house in Los Angeles, California. However, he was taken to his hometown in Anderson, South Carolina.
The heartbreaking incident took place on Aug. 28 while the actor was surrounded by his family. As per the death certificate obtained, the Marvel star has been laid to rest at Belton's Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Black Panther star's death shook the entire entertainment industry as several co-stars and fans were kept strangers from the cancer battle. The late actor never disclosed anything about his cancer publicly and as a result, it was a shock for his followers to learn about the sudden death due to the colon cancer.
The death certificate mentioned the reason for death is the failure of multiple organs along with the colon cancer that became the primary cause. Furthermore, the document also revealed that the actor had undergone two operations in order to cure his diseases.
One of the operations was related to colectomy, which was done in 2016 while the other operation was related to cancer metastasis laparoscopic removal, which took place before the coronavirus lockdown began in March this year.
The day Boseman’s burial ceremony took place, his hometown screened his last blockbuster movie, Black Panther for his fans and followers. Everyone attended the event made sure that they kept a proper social distance and had their masks on to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of the fans wore Black Panther costume in order to honor the late actor for his work. In Malibu, California a private event in Boseman's memorial was held to honor the star. The last tweet from the actor's social media account became the most liked tweet in the history of Twitter.
The tweet garnered over 8.5 million likes so far while previously the record was held by former President Barack Obama who had 4.3 million likes. Boseman has starred in various movies besides Black Panther such as Marshall and Da 5 Bloods.
These two movies were mentioned in the final tweet as the actor went through the diagnoses amid filming in 2016. The family of the actor revealed that the actor has gone through many chemotherapies and surgeries to battle colon cancer. However, fans and co-stars of the actor are still trying to cope with the sudden death.
