Keith Urban opened up about his experience of hosting the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time. The singer and songwriter revealed that his hosting is such an adventure that it can't be ordinary.

The 52-year-old star disclosed details about his hosting experience before the show and explained how the 55th show is going to be different amid the ongoing pandemic crisis. The multi-talented star explained that this event is going to be first for him in several ways.

The Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing star admitted that this is the first time he will be trying his hands on hosting an event. Urban revealed that the show was supposed to be held back in April at Las Vegas but now due to the global crisis the event is taking place in September at Nashville in Tennessee.

"We were supposed to be in Vegas in April and instead we will be in Nashville in September, but first and foremost I'm glad we're doing it. I'm glad the ACMs are going ahead. It's gonna be a really, really good... We're gonna really bring the best in Nashville out to everybody," Urban explained.

Urban said that it will be the first time when the Academy of Country Music Awards will be held in Nashville and the gigs featured on the show will be performed at various locations in Music City. The singer explained that this step is taken in order to ensure that the safety measures are not compromised.

The singer ensured during the interview that the event held will be safe from coronavirus as the precautions are taken with extreme care. Urban applauded the idea of choosing multiple locations to hold the show as an intellectual call from the administrators.

The idea will make sure that not too many people are gathered at one location, which will help to reduce the risk factor. However, the singer said that he is unaware of the fact of how the award ceremony will take place.

Urban said that they are going to work on the ceremony part soon. The singer confirmed that he will be performing his upcoming album's track, One Too Many with Pink. The album is titled as The Speed of Now Part 1 and it will be dropped by Sept. 18. The singer appreciated the 41-year-old Just Give Me a Reason star and said that he admires her career.
