Katy Perry Allegedly Causing Drama On ‘American Idol’ Set, Urged To Stop Raunchy Behavior
Katy Perry has, allegedly, caused a lot of drama on the set of American Idol since she joined the singing reality TV show in 2018.
OK! magazine previously claimed that the producers of American Idol urged Perry to stop her raunchy behavior while filming the episodes. An insider claimed that Perry received complaints about her awkward judging comments and they urged her to stop.
The insider also claimed that the American Idol producers gave Perry an ultimatum that if she shows her diva behavior, she could get fired. But two years have passed and Perry is still very much a part of the show.
Weeks later, Naughty Gossip claimed that the producers were planning on replacing Perry with Taylor Swift. A source also said that Perry would be fired from her role as judge after the first season.
National Enquirer also published a similar story after Perry and Swift ended their feud. They claimed that Perry was forced to apologize to Swift by the producers of the show.
The producers of American Idol, allegedly, want Perry and Swift to immediately bury the hatchet because the latter was joining the second season for the ABC reality TV show. However, Swift didn’t join American Idol in Season 2 or ever.
According to Gossip Cop, the rumors about Perry leaving American Idol are not true. In fact, while the new mom was pregnant with her daughter, Daisy, she continued to appear in American Idol. It was also in the show that Perry confirmed her pregnancy news.
During a video appearance on The Howard Stern Show in July, Perry also said that she’s more than willing to return to American Idol Season 4 if the producers would still want her there.
“Yeah, I'd love to as long as they'll have me. "As long as I'm still having fun and as long as it still means something,” she said.
The “Daisies” singer was also asked to respond to the rumors that she received more than $25 million for Season 3. Stern asked Perry if she feels guilty for getting such a huge salary.
It's exciting for a woman to be in that position as well, in that financial bracket, as well. Why not?” she said.
But Perry also said that not all that’s been reported is accurate.
“I'm not here to confirm or deny. Let's just say that those things are to be taken with a grain of Himalayan salt for sure,” she said.
