Trump Wants A Third Term Of Presidency Ahead Of Dubious Second Term
President Donald Trump is expressing tremendous confidence in his system of the regime and is ready to change the history and code of the U.S. Constitution for the same. As per U.S. law on the presidency, a politician/candidate can be the Head of State only twice in his/her lifetime. The third term of the presidency is not allowed, notwithstanding Trump is all prepared to negotiate a third term as the President of the United States.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, during a campaign rally at the Minden-Tahoe airport in Minden-Tahoe airport in Minden, Nevada, Trump suggested his wish and will to be the U.S. Head of State for 12 long years, telling attendees at the campaign event that he is "entitled" to a third term.
Addressing a crowd consisting of his supporters in the state, the President said that “After 52 from now, we are going to win four more years in the White House, and then, after all, we’ll negotiate. Because we're probably based on the way we were treated, we are probably entitled to another four after that.”
It’s not the first time, however, that Trump has signaled his enthusiasm and ability to run for the third term. As a matter of fact, throughout the course of his first term starting from 2016, Trump has stated multiple times that two terms are not just enough for him, and sometimes the opposite.
At a rally made in August in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Trump said not only he was set to win over his Democratic rival Joe Biden, but he would also win an additional four years of presidency following his second run. The President referred that to as the “redo of four years.”
In contrast to what he is saying now, in the year 2018, President Trump clearly stated that he would never be seeking constitutional amendments permitting himself 12 years in the White House. That comment came as a clarification after he praised Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a rare event, for abolishing presidential term limits in the Asian powerhouse.
Amid all the news of the third term, it seems the POTUS’ attention is wandering off from the second term elections or probably he is taking it for granted that he is going to have a huge victory over Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Despite what President Trump might think and plan, the fact of polls suggests that Biden is leading the poll. In such a scenario, the plans of the third term seem wild.
