Prince Harry and Meghan have been constantly bombarded by criticisms ever since they decided to step down from their royal duties. The couple who have decided to settle in the United States, have had no rest when it comes to constant negative chatter from the people. The real reason for their exit from the royal institution is a big question for a lot of people, not only the British citizens but for those in the commonwealth countries as well.

The couple have been on many media headlines since the past week after the news broke out that Harry and Meghan signed a ludicrous deal with the streaming giant, Netflix.

Harry and Meghan got a $150 million deal with Netflix, which shocked many people since the couple was rumored to be living off Prince Charles’ allowance.

They were slammed by this action as it was revealed that Harry and Meghan signed the multiyear contract with Netflix without the Queen's knowledge. 

Many defended the couple for their actions, but royal watchers countered with the information that Harry and Meghan were still in debt to the Queen and the British citizens for the refurbishments of the Frogmore Cottage.

Royal experts discussed Harry’s recent action, wherein the Prince ‘donated’ a large sum back to the royals days after their Netflix deal, paying off their Frogmore debt as well as signaling that the couple truly is free from the royal clutches.

 "Lots of people are saying this is significant because there are no ties anymore, they're not coming back. Yes, the ties have been well and truly severed. So Harry and Meghan are now setting out as former royals with a very lucrative deal with a private media company, Netflix.” Royal expert, Lizzie Robinson said.

This also buys Harry and Meghan the privacy they have always wanted to have. One of the biggest factors for Harry and Meghan’s exit from the royal institution was the media stepping over the line.

The couple being finally ‘financially free’ from the royal family and becoming private citizens relieves them from being continuously harassed by the media, not only in America but the UK media too.

Harry and Meghan have plans to be producers as they signed a deal with Netflix. Meghan being rumored to go back into the spotlight is not true as well.

The couple believes that helping create media that can send important messages to a worldwide platform is more important.

The couple are believed to have no plans of returning to the UK this year but have several engagements to attend to in the UK by 2021.
