Kelly Clarkson Feels That Life Has Become 'Dumpster' During Divorce
Kelly Clarkson has been always honest about her life and how she feels about things around her. This time, it's her divorce. While Clarkson earlier said she doesn't want to reveal details about her divorce, she has been honest about the roller-coaster ride the entire separation journey feels.
The 38-year-old singer opened up about her feelings on the Sunday Today With Willie Geist show and called her life a "dumpster" amid divorce. Clarkson admitted that there is no secret that her life has become a trash basket after announcing a divorce with her husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The first American Idol winner and her husband spent seven years together in their marriage and in June the singer filed divorce. It was scandalous for fans to learn that the couple is planning to part their ways as before the announcement the duo never had any public rifts.
The couple shares two children, Remington Alexander Blackstock is a 4-year-old son and River Rose Blackstock is a 6-year-old daughter. The star disclosed during the interview that the last couple of months have been extremely difficult.
Clarkson revealed that she has been in a conversation with a couple of friends who have experienced divorce in their life and getting some advice. The singer sheds light on the importance of having a platform or someone to speak about everything the person is going through. She explained that it is one of the most difficult things to see that people around you also suffer because of the decision.
"I've been talking to friends that have been through a divorce. I don't know how people go through that without having some kind of outlet because it is the worst thing ever for everyone involved," Clarkson said.
The Kelly Clarkson Show host opened up about her latest album that will drop soon and it will consist of songs that are personal. She said that the songs in the album will focus on relationship details. The tracks will showcase the journey of a relationship, which is how it all starts, and then it comes to an end eventually.
The singer disclosed that these tracks have been "therapeutic" for her. On a lighter note, the multi-talented star said that she completely forgot about the Emmy awards. She joked about playing games with her children.
Clarkson has recently won Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, which she said her executive producer Alex informed her when she was going through a “hard” week.
