The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a new life in California, after their decision to leave their senior royal duties, the couple has been thriving on the other side of the pond. The couple’s wishes to be more private with their affairs as well as to be financially independent of the royal money is finally in reach of the couple. 

After Harry and Meghan signed a multiyear contract with Netflix, the couple woes about money matters has finally dissipated.

Fans of the couple are also relieved that Harry and Meghan hit a megawatt deal with the streaming giant.

The payout for the couple’s exclusive deal with Netflix has seen them $150 million richer. The couple was said to have a joint net worth of $30 million before leaving the royal family.

According to royal sources, this will not be the only money the couple will get. Prince Harry who has numerous trusts to inherit will approximately get a $20 million check from the royal palace.

One of the sources of these huge inheritance will be a trust fund that has been set aside by the Queen herself, to be given to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The said trust is estimated to be $23 million. According to the Guardian, the brothers, William and Harry have already split $9 million of the trust fund back when they both turned 21. There is another estimated $12 million that the brothers will split.

The late Princess Diana has well left a huge trust for her two kids. This trust which was accessible to the brothers when they both turned 25. Princess Diana’s trust fund is said to contain $25 million, which will be divided by the two princes.

Harry and Meghan who are living in California right now, recently purchased a $14.7 million estate, which according to rumors was financed by Prince Charles. They were heavily criticized by this move due to their outstanding debt to their Frogmore Cottage refurbishments. 

Upon the news of the couple signing a huge deal with Netflix, a call for the royals to pay their $3 million debt to the UK government was raised. 

A few days later the Sussex’ office came out with a statement wherein the couple is said to have paid the $3 million debt. This also led to the amicable separation of Harry from the royal family.

The couple is in the planning stages of creating a production company, which will produce TV shows, documentaries and many more for Netflix.
