'Desperate Housewives' Stars Got Reunited, Felicity Huffman Praised
"Desperate Housewives" stars Dana Delany, Brenda Strong, Marcia Cross, Vanessa Williams, and Eva Longoria had a virtual reunion this weekend and they had nothing but praise for their co-star Felicity Huffman, who could not join the reunion.
E Online says that the reunion between the residents of Wisteria Lane was for raising money for The Actors Fund, in light of the pandemic. While talking with each other, the topic of Felicity Huffman came up and everyone praised their co-star for her acting prowess. Cross called her a 'flipping genius' while Longoria claims that there were times when she was so absorbed with Huffman's acting that she actually forgot her own lines. She also says that beyond acting together in 'Desperate Housewives' she also shares a special bond with Huffman.
Last year, Longoria reveals that Huffman had taken her under her wing when they first began shooting for the show. Felicity was the one who first approached her and said that she should not be afraid as they will get through it together. Felicity even helped her in a bullying situation, which Eva is very grateful for.
Felicity Huffman's co-stars have stoor by her side despite the controversy that surrounded her. It was in 2019 when a scandal arose regarding bribery done by some affluent members of society in order for their children to be admitted to college. There were at least 53 people who were charged as being a part of the conspiracy, including popular personalities like Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli, and award-winning actress Felicity Huffman.
Huffman is accused of giving $15,000 to Key Worldwide so that someone can pretend to be her daughter and take the SAT for her. She pleaded to charges of honest services fraud and was found guilty. Last September 13, she was sentenced to be jailed for 14 days. Not only that, but she was also asked to pay a fine of $30,000 and finish about 250 hours of community service.
She was released in October 2019 after spending her jail sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution. Currently, InTouch Weekly reports that she is set to star in the new movie 'Tammy's Always Dying'. She will be playing the part of Tammy, who seems to only have at least six months to live due to a terminal illness. This will be her first project after the controversy that surrounded her last year. The movie will available on May 1.
