Meghan Markle has found her way in hot waters after her recent involvement with events that have a political topic about it. Meghan Markle who was an actress before marrying Prince Harry, quit her job to become a Duchess, but as she became a royal, she had to give up many aspects of her civilian life. 

The Duchess is a famous activist and has voiced out many of her opinions regarding the political climate of the United States even before meeting Prince Harry. 

But now that she is part of the British royal family, it is believed that her involvement with initiatives that discuss any political views should be apprehended as the Royal are known to be apolitical. 

In an episode of The Royal Beat, royal expert Duncan Larcombe criticized the royal for involving herself in movements that are politically driven. 

“Is it just me or when you watch Meghan do things like that it feels like someone is holding up a cheese grater to my ears? I know there is a place for this, and many people think oh Meghan yes I am going to go and vote now, not for Donald Trump by the way. But for me it is so irksome, that patronizing tone of I know best. She was a pretty average actress, now she is enjoying a position higher than the Pope by the looks of it”, Larcombe commented. 

Mr. Larcombe is talking about Meghan joining the initiative ‘When All Women Vote’ as a keynote speaker. 

The Duchess during the video conference urged women to register to vote in the upcoming US elections in November. She highlighted her talk around bringing change and not being complicit. 

Rachel Bowie, a royal expert present during the episode of The Royal Beat together with Mr. Larcombe defended the Duchess’ actions. 

According to Ms. Bowie, Meghan never mentioned that she was not endorsing any sides and cited that the Queen once encouraged people to vote, just like Meghan. 

But many believe that Meghan was also hinting that voters should vote on Democrat, Joe Biden instead of incumbent US President, Donald Trump. 

‘When All Women Vote’ is also co-founded by the former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama who is a Democrat. 

Famous host and commentator, Piers Morgan was one of the first people who called out Meghan Markle for her involvement with politics and called for the Duchess to be stripped off her title. 

There has been no comment regarding this incident by the Sussex’s camp.
