Prince Harry and Meghan Markle created a unique precedent when they decided to quit royal life. Although their decision was criticized by some people, one member of the Royal Family has allegedly supported their move. 

 

The 35-year-old prince and his wife are now living in Los Angeles, California with their son Archie Harrison. They are supposed to make this city their future base. Although their decision to step down as royal members were slammed by some traditionalists, they reportedly have a strong ally in the Royal Family. 

 

Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II’s daughter Princess Anne is someone who has always taken her royal duties quite seriously. Although she is known to maintain a low profile as compared to many of her other family members, the monarch’s only daughter is one of those royals who have the maximum number of engagements in a year. 

 

Her diligence can be understood from the fact that she had about 506 royal engagements last year, which is an impressive figure, Express reports. She has a dry sense of humor like her dad, the Duke of Edinburgh and is famous for her no-nonsense approach in life. 

 

It came as a shocker for many royal followers that Anne has been vocal about her support for Harry and Meghan’s decision to ditch royal life. Many people are aware that she refused royal titles for Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, her two children. 

 

The princess preferred to bring them up as normal children as the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex wish to do with Archie now. According to another report by Express, Princess Anne gave a candid interview where she revealed her decision to not accept royal titles for her children. Her move has now been replicated by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they took a similar decision after over four decades. 

 

Princess Anne agrees that a royal title could prove to be a heavy load. Her statement was regarded by some royal followers as a show of support for Harry and Markle.

 

She feels that it was possibly easier for her children. She also told that many people would debate that there are disadvantages to having royal titles. 

 

The Princess also mentioned that she thinks she did the right thing then. Her daughter Zara Tindall won a silver medal at the London Olympics Games in 2012 and is a renowned equestrian like her.  

 

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to quit royal duties has been slammed by their detractors, it comes as a pleasant surprise to see a senior royal member sharing a similar approach in this department.
