Prince William Pays A Surprise Visit To Frontline Workers, First Northern Ireland Trip Since Coronavirus Outbreak
Lately, Prince William has garnered a ton of attention and loads of praise for his active participation in important social causes, and a part of that comes now. The Duke of Cambridge in one more time featuring in headlines for a good reason.
On Wednesday, Prince headed on an unannounced trip across the sea to Northern Ireland. This day, Prince William was supposed to take part in a thanksgiving service in the favor of emergency crews, instead, he chose for an extraordinary way to spread happiness.
The visit was more like an expression of appreciation for frontline workers and emergency staffers in Belfast for their incredible hard work to support the battle against the adversity caused by the coronavirus.
The visit to Northern Ireland marks the first time since the start of the coronavirus crisis that Prince William has ventured over the water from mainland Britain.
The day started on a pretty busy node for the Prince, but he had made his mind for the visit. Prince began with a visit to the city's Police College to meet officers and staff members who participate in the force’s Wellbeing Volunteer Training course, which is a bespoke emergency services peer support program that educates and trains the Volunteers for Wellbeing on ways to back up colleagues who are going through some kind of mental health issues.
Apart from interacting with members in Police College, the Duke of Cambridge also shared moments with representatives from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to understand their experiences with mental health. He also discussed the importance of peer support training programs in the effectiveness of emergency services.
Prince William’s thrust into mental wellbeing comes from the fact that he subscribes to the theory that the mental status of an individual is more important than physical activity to deliver a good performance. Additionally, William has witnessed first-hand the mental challenges faced by emergency servicemen as both an Air Ambulance and RAF Search and Rescue pilot.
Lately, the Prince talked about the crucial role of mental wellbeing in sports which got him a lot of media attention and support from influential personalities.
The kind gesture of Prince William often shows makes him a special royal who knows his responsibilities and duties towards the society very well.
